Part I: Getting started

This part shows you around Spider: how to sign in and choose an organization, how the screen is laid out, and how the parts you meet on every page work, such as the ribbon, lists, drawers and dialogs.

It also explains environments, permissions, the languages Spider speaks, how pages keep themselves up to date while you work, and where to find help.

  1. Signing in: the invitation, signing in and out, and choosing an organization.
  2. The screen layout: the header, the main menu, the page and the settings.
  3. The ribbon: where every page keeps its commands.
  4. Lists: selecting, opening, searching and sorting.
  5. Drawers and dialogs: adding, changing and confirming.
  6. Environments: production and test, and the header's selector.
  7. Language: English and Dutch.
  8. Permissions: why a colleague may see commands you don't.
  9. Live updates: pages that keep up by themselves.
  10. Help: the Help tab, help for the page you are on, and this documentation.

The pictures in this guide show Harbour Logistics, a demo organization. Your own organization's pages hold your own processes and data, and show only what your permissions allow.
