Signing in
You sign in to Spider with your Microsoft work account. There is no separate Spider password.
Your first sign-in: the invitation
Before you can sign in, someone in your organization invites you. You then receive an e-mail with a link to register.
- Open the link in the e-mail. Spider shows the Register page, with Login with Microsoft to register with Nidaros.
- Click Login, and sign in with the Microsoft account the invitation was sent to.
- Spider registers you, and takes you to your organization.
If the page says Invalid code (The register code is either invalid or expired), the invitation can no longer be used. Ask the person who invited you to send it again.
If the page says Failed to register, something went wrong while Spider registered you. Click Register to try again. If it fails again, contact your administrator.
Signing in
Open Spider's address in your browser. Spider sends you to Microsoft's sign-in page, which asks which account to use, and then brings you back to the page you asked for. A link that a colleague sent you therefore works too: you sign in, and land on the page it points to.
While you work, Spider keeps you signed in. When your sign-in has expired, Spider sends you through Microsoft's sign-in again, and brings you back to the page you were on.
Choosing an organization
Spider holds the work of one or more organizations, and you see one organization at a time. After you have signed in, what happens next depends on how many organizations you belong to:
- One: Spider says You're being redirected to your organization... and opens it.
- Several: the page lists your organizations under Please select an organization. Click the one you want to work in.
- None: the page shows No access, with Please check your email for the invite link or contact your system administrator. Accept your invitation first. Once you have, click Retry.
The organization you work in is shown at the top left of the screen, below the breadcrumbs. Its short name, its slug, is the first part of every page's address. In https://<spider>/HarbourLogistics/processes, for example, the slug is HarbourLogistics. So a link to a page always opens that page in the same organization.
To switch to another organization, click the Nidaros logo at the top left. That takes you back to the list of your organizations.
Administrators
Members of the Spider administration organization go straight to Administration after signing in, instead of choosing an organization. Administration is described in the screen layout.
Signing out
Click the round profile button at the top right of the screen, and then Log out.
After you have signed out, Spider shows Microsoft's sign-in page again, so the next person to use the browser has to sign in with their own account.
Signing in or out also clears the choices Spider remembers in this browser: the language, the environment you picked, and whether the ribbon is expanded.
